Patient Stories

Outcomes we’re proud of.

★★★★★

I tore my ACL playing rec soccer and was told I'd need 9–12 months of PT. Momentum had me back on the field in 8 months with better movement patterns than I had before the injury. Jake's sports-specific protocol is unlike anything I've seen at other clinics.

★★★★★

I had a total knee replacement and was terrified of PT. Dr. Nair was patient, methodical, and pushed me exactly as hard as I needed without ever making me feel like I was failing. At 8 weeks post-op I was walking without a limp. At 12 weeks I was hiking.

★★★★★

I'd had vertigo for three months and been written three different prescriptions, none of which fixed it. One session of vestibular repositioning at Momentum and my BPPV was essentially resolved. I wish my neurologist had referred me here first.

Common Questions

Everything you want to know before booking.

Do I need a doctor's referral to come to physical therapy?

In North Carolina, you can see a physical therapist directly without a physician referral for 30 days of care under direct access rules. For most musculoskeletal conditions, this is more than enough time to assess and begin treatment. If your condition requires longer care or insurance mandates a referral, we'll let you know and help coordinate with your physician.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Your insurance card, a photo ID, any relevant imaging (X-rays, MRI on disc), and a list of current medications. Wear or bring comfortable athletic clothing - shorts and a t-shirt are ideal for most evaluations. Plan for 60–75 minutes for your initial visit, which includes a full evaluation and your first treatment session.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your diagnosis and goals. Acute strains often resolve in 6–10 visits. Post-surgical rehab typically runs 12–20 visits over 6–12 weeks. Sports-specific return-to-performance programs can be longer. We provide a written treatment plan with estimated visit count and milestones at your first appointment.

Do you offer telehealth or home exercise program support?

Yes. We use a digital home exercise platform that lets your therapist build, share, and update your home program between visits - with video demonstrations and progress tracking. For appropriate maintenance cases, we also offer telehealth check-in visits via video call.
